Kite and Kite Updraft are products of Kaplex Industries Inc. (“we”, “us”), a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada (incorporation no. BC1599302), of 212–1939 Lee Avenue, Victoria, BC V8R 4W9, Canada. This policy explains what we collect when you use this site, request an audit or book a Kite Updraft call, and how we handle it. It also explains how we handle information when we manage ads for your business.

What we collect

When you submit the audit form or the Kite Updraft call form, we collect what you give us: your business name, what you do and where, your email or phone, and anything you write in the message. The Kite Updraft form also asks for your monthly ad budget range. To help prevent spam and abuse, we also record basic technical data with the submission (such as your IP address and browser user-agent).

Why we collect it

We use your information to run your AI-visibility audit and prepare your report, to set up and hold your Kite Updraft call, and to reply to you. If you tick the optional marketing box, we may occasionally send you tips about getting found and about advertising. You can opt out any time.

How your audit works

To measure your visibility, we ask public AI assistants (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity) and query public map and search data the same questions a customer would. This uses your publicly available business information. We do not share your private contact details with those services.

If we manage your ads (Kite Updraft clients)

Kite Updraft has its own Kite Updraft Privacy Policy, which covers it in full. A summary:

When we manage Google Ads for your business, we work inside your own Google Ads account as a manager, with access you grant and can remove at any time.

To connect ad clicks to real work, your website and your Kaplex station record where each lead came from, including the click identifier Google adds to ad links. Google’s ad tag on your website tells Google when a quote request from an ad was sent, without the person’s contact details, and Google counts calls from its call button itself. When the report is connected for your account, we also report back to Google which ad clicks became booked jobs, and their value, so Google can find more customers like yours. If that report ever uses customer contact details for matching (such as an email or phone number), they are hashed before they are sent, and we send only what Google needs to match the result to the click.

Kite Updraft is run with the help of AI: Claude, made by Anthropic, reads your ad account and the ad records in your station to review and run your ads, within the rules you approve. Changes that cost more always wait for your approval. The Kite Updraft Privacy Policy sets out exactly what it reads.

We handle your customers’ information on your behalf and only to run and report on your ads. We do not sell it and we do not use it for anyone else. Your own website needs to tell your customers that it uses Google Ads tracking, and we help you set that up. The full terms are in your Kite Updraft service agreement.

Storage & sharing

Your information is stored securely with our infrastructure providers. We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (for example, our database and email tools) and, for Kite Updraft clients, with Google and with Anthropic (the AI we use to run your ads) as described above, and only as needed to serve you.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to reply and follow up, and we delete them when you ask. For Kite Updraft clients, ad and conversion records are kept while we provide the service and are returned or deleted when it ends, as set out in the service agreement.

Your choices
